This is a 3 tube regenerative Shortwave receiver. It covers 5.6 to 15.3 MHz, and demodulates AM (amplitude modulation), CW (continuous wave), and SSB (single side band) signals. The front end uses an untuned RF (radio frequency) amplifier and provides good sensitivity with a short wire antenna. Separate triodes are used for regeneration and detection, improving sensitivity and performance. The detector is followed by two AF (audio frequency) amplifiers capable of driving a speaker. Performance is very good with selectivity on par with regenerative receivers. The receiver runs on 110 volts AC.

Controls from right: antenna gain, tuning, main regeneration, fine regeneration and volume. 9:1 vernier offers easy tuning. Phones jack is to the left of volume control. Antenna coil was made from PVC tubing glued to an octal tube base. Power transformer on left isolates chassis from the mains.

Antenna and ground wires connect to terminals on left. Power on-off switch is on the right.

Point-to-point wiring was used. Full wave rectifier and audio transformer are on far left. RF amplifier is on far right. RF chokes are forms with 3 red windings. Audio amplifier is to the right of blue filter capacitor.
